Bob Iger

The Disney era of Star Wars began under the clueless direction of Robert Iger. Iger is the legitimate incarnation of everything wrong with vulture capitalism: a narcissistic, arrogant, greedy, and uncreative asshole who even the likes of Wall Street’s Gordon Greco and Total Recall’s Vilos Cohaagen have nothing against him.

After being appointed CEO following the ouster of Michael Eisner following his failed attempt to get Comcast to acquire Disney, Iger made it a priority for Disney to acquire third party companies to increase its catalog and to offshore the potential challengers of Netflix and Amazon. Acquiring Pixar in 2012, Marvel in 2012, and 20th Century Fox in 2019, Iger transformed Disney into a monopolistic corporation that brought in a substantial amount of delusional shills to consume the next Disney product. Iger was known to not take creative risks as they would ultimately lead to financial ruin and prefer to reorganize Disney’s film division to focus entirely on franchises. For example, the Walt Disney Pictures label now mainly focuses on live action remakes.

With this in mind, Iger had his sights on Star Wars as he passive aggressively attempted to persuade George to sell Lucasfilm to Disney even back in 2011. Ultimately burnt out by prequel backlash and neither of his family interested in running Lucasfilm, George ultimately sold the company to Iger in 2012. While Iger allowed George’s hire of Kathleen Kennedy to run Lucasfilm, Iger showed his true colors to George by throwing away his sequel trilogy outline and prefer the inexperienced and clueless Kennedy to start from stretch. Pointing out the recent success of The Avengers (in which Disney didn’t see much profit as original distributor Paramount got some of them) and the overwhelming positive reception of Marvel’s planned outline, Iger sought Star Wars to be a annual franchise with multiple spin-offs and trilogies for years.

Ultimately, as you have to have a hammer to build a house, Iger had zero understanding of Star Wars. Multiple projects were either on hold or shelved due to multiple departures and the mixed to negative reviews to the sequel trilogy led to Iger’s Disney to regulate Star Wars to their new streaming service launched in 2019.

Retiring in 2021, Iger left the Star Wars brand in the grave due to his lazy ambitions and in creative work ethic. He also leaves Disney in massive debts as they are widely rumored to be bought out by Apple in the coming years. Bob Iger is a cautionary tale of how corporate greed can destroy a franchise you love.

Mauler and his group are reacting to Kenobi, in case anyone wants to kinda watch the show just to see how bad it is for themselves.

Leia is such an annoying “wise beyond her years” child, new villain lady is edgy tryhard, and Kenobi keeps looking like an idiot, Christ…

I added the parts that weren't redundant.

There is a decade between Han and Leia too. So "That's my boy!" I guess. ;)

Laura "Admiral Holdo" Dern opened her mouth a few days ago about these on-screen age gaps being patriarchal by the way to stay relevant. She brought up Jurassic Park as an example. I've read the novel and saw the movie several times, they weren't even a couple.

In the movie its low-key implied Sadler is boning or at least wanting to bone Grant, hence all of his talk about not liking kids and the 'family' shot at the end.

On the penultimate episode of Book of Boba Fett, no less. Because that's how Disney organizes their shows apparently; have major plot points for one show get addressed as a random episode for a show about an entirely different character.

This is Marvel influence trickling back up. Comics love to do that shit to make you buy issues of other comics and keep everything cross-pollenating.

Can we also add information on Bob Iger into the OP as well. I think it’s important to understand Armageddon level damage he inflicted when he passive aggressively convinced George to sell Lucasfilm to Disney?

EDIT: @The Gangster Computer you should also add Filoni’s incoherent character changes like Anakin acting like Bruce Willis and Obi Wan acting Jack Sparrow.
Done. I've updated my post @5t3n0g0ph3r.

Further proof that the future might be fan content at this rate. Easier access to 3D animation tools is getting us to the point where independent creators can now make cgi animation on par with early or mid 2000s quality in less than half the time it used to take and with far less people. And nice to see TK-421 in a role that's not just him as one of Tarkin's gay fucbois. Too bad the guy who made this had to fag it up at the end with that Rogue One shilling, so even when fans have the chance to take things in their own direction they'll still try to pander to the company that would just as quickly send them a C&D over petty nonsense.

Also using the Quanta sector as the location for the imperial research base was a nice bit of attention to detail that's not just a pointless cameo or throwaway "remember that" reference that serves no purpose since it was a very pro-imperial region that would receive little rebel interference, so it would be an ideal place for a research facility. Too bad the rest of the video has a lot of pointless PT memberberries and devolves into disney promotion at the end.

EDIT:
They've been doing this shit since 2014. I wish I could find old articles before the release of TFA trying to start false outrage amongst the fans over Boyega being black and Ridley being a female and using that to distract from that movie's flaws.
And Chuck Wendig and Paul S. Kemp calling everyone racist and homophobic for not liking their books or Disney's movies and countless news articles coming to their defense and bragging about how right they were.

I was too busy touching grass to post in thread while Kenobi was dropping and doing what we all knew it would, but I want to again remind consoomers I already made their posts about Kenobi for them back in March.

I can save all the abused wife consoomers the time of writing their posts about consooming as well.

"I give it a C+. It was good to see this Person or Place I remember show up on screen but they really didn't really seem to understand the character or it was so brief they need not have really bothered except to get me to clap like a brain damaged and abused seal which I did. There were two or three other blink-and-you'll miss it moments too. All the previous points made in this thread discusing the leak were absolutely accurate, but I still watched it anyway. There was a 3 minute segment that was almost like actual star wars and that was amazing. I wish they had someone who cared about starwars make this, but I still watched the whole thing and will watch season two."

#obiwanpost

Its also time to update the consoomer nav chart

> No way Disney will fuck up the EU

Beautiful OP, but is it too late to add Rupert Murdoch and 20th Century Fox because Fox is essential to the franchise and there were reports that Murdoch was tard raging towards the Fox executives for not going after Lucasfilm in 2012.
Eh... Kind of irrelevant since Disney ended up buying the entire film & television studios from Fox anyways.

Oh, he apparently did this presentation:
“Castrating the Oedpal Fanboy: Father Anxiety, Star Wars, and the Discursive Structures of Nerd Misogyny and Geek Capitalism.”
As someone who was the nerdiest, shrimpiest dork in my high school, I want to shove this pretentious, over-educated fucking loser in the tightest locker possible.

please retcon it so yoda disguised himself as a jawa to repeatedly visit luke on tatooine over the years and also sell him the droids and make that one droid's head explode with the force

edit: and child leia, also disguised as a jawa, visits tatooine and meets her brother and rolls her eyes at some stupid boy stuff he does

There’s some shots in Obi Wan of Vader that look lifted right out of a fan film
The whole way it suddenly cuts to an eyeball closeup of Vader in a tank with tubes & then assembly.

I saw some tweet saying the newest episode was full of “awesome girlboss moments” by all the female characters in the episode, so I’m assuming it sucked dick.
...and an amazingly awful performance from Strong Black Actress. Yes, she managed to do worse than in the previous episodes.

edit: adding a I'M ACTING sequence

Holy shit this in my mind confirms that the headwriter for Kenobi hasn't watched any of the movies.
adsfdfsadfas.PNG

What the fuck is Kathleen Kennedy and the story group doing? Like seriously can this fucking bitch not even manage one little tv series without it turning in to some major repuation loss for the star wars brand? How hard is it to find a writer that's atleast has watched the fucking movies? Like i don't know about you guys but if i was given a star wars tv-show i would atleast use wookiepedia to look up stuff before i send in the script.
fdsadfasdfas.PNG

This shitty show makes so little sense, in the first episode its shown that the people of ancorhead know who the inqusitors are and what they do, so cleary in the show even small backwater towns on Tattoine are aware of whats going on in the empire as the inqustior have to be fairly new at this point and Kenobi travles to anchorhead everyday for work. Was he just complety blind and deaf then?
