ITT We argue about how fatties get fat, why they stay fat, and what they should do instead - It's a mystery! It's an obesity sperging containment thread!

(I'm not sure what this means... would I be horrified at an in depth explanation?)

Basically your belly button is anchored inside (on a kind of stalk). When you have fat hanging, it stretches out the belly button (think like a T shape instead of a O). This is what causes fat to hang with that indentation in the middle, the belly button hold is stronger in the center so the fat 'splits' if you're very heavy or have an unfortunate weight distribution.

A panni will remove any hang, but that's it. They don't touch anything else. So, if you have a roll, or a fat shelf above it still, there is no movement down to smooth anything out. A tummy tuck disengages the belly button you have and pulls everything down to smooth everything in the area, then usually the surgeon will create a new belly button in the correct place of the newly formed, smoother, stomach area.

TLDR: From an insurance view point they will remove the hanging skin to stop medical issues, but they don't give a shit about it looking good later, so they'll (rarely, on occasion, with documented proof of the irritation over a long period of time with no other solutions) approve the removal of hang, but not the more cosmetically pleasing choice.

Edit: I am not the only one who answered this and should have checked the thread properly first.

200+ grams of carbs in a day is BEYOND what any human should consume on a daily basis. Low Carb/Keto/Atkins all start you out at 20 Grams. This heffer is eating 10x the amount someone who is actively trying to lose weight would need/want/desire to consume.

I'll put money on a heart attack/stroke/collapse by End of the year.

I'm not sure I agree that 200+ grams of carbs is dangerous. A bowl of oatmeal, a peanut butter sandwich, and some pasta for dinner with an apple and a banana will total to somewhere around 250 g carbs.

250G is fine if you are working out, exercising and burning that amount. There's good carbs (fiber, fruits, cheese, etc.) and really fucking bad carbs (sugar, bread/flour, starches, etc.) It's all dependent on your activity level and if you body needs that fuel to keep working out. My one mistake was to NOT eat enough carbs while weight training and I was drained/exhausted by the time I left the gym. Great for weight loss, horrible for muscle mass.

I would say for her she should keep it below 150g and that those carbs should mostly be gluten-free or at the very least come from whole grains (not bread) or lentils. As far and fruit and vegetables go, cutting out anything white would also be a huge help. Also regular exercise, I know that she probably would have to work up to this amount but 45 minutes a day every day of the week of moderate exercise (walking, biking, jogging) and that's it would also be highly beneficial.

I experienced that same problem as above, I started walking/jogging 3-4 miles a day and kept my carb intake 50g or below and I would be exhausted by 7:00 at night and while I was losing weight I wasn't gaining lean muscle which was what I wanted.

But that being said, no diet on this planet is going to work for her (or Amberlynn for that matter), she needs a lifestyle change, and she either too lazy too fucked to care or both. There is no magic pill that will keep the weight off (there are pills that will make you drop it quickly), there are pills and supplements that will help but nothing works better than eating right and having the proper amount of exercise.

I'm gonna take a wild wild guess that you don't know what gluten is aside from being something that the new-age people say is "bad". I'll go with the optimistic approach and hope that you're not referring to the gluten itself, but rather the type of starches and what-have-you that accompany it in its typical sources. If hope wins out, you are absolutely right. That ham-harpy needs to keeps her squishy claws away from shit like cinnamon rolls, as we all could echo in futility for eternity.

If you mean stimulants she’s already been on vyvanse and gained weight. They won’t work for someone who constantly enjoys feeling overfull. They’re also hellish on the heart and not effective long term. She was also likely abusing them because she’s a hedonistic blob and has a history of abusing narcotics. She doesn’t take medication regularly anyway so it could really screw her up. This suggestion comes up in every fatty thread and it’s always a horrible idea. Unless you were 400 lbs no one cares about your diet and weight. And even if you weren’t you too sound like someone with no self control if you couldn’t stop eating a food and probably shouldn’t be giving anyone diet advice. Chantal doesn’t need a diet and exercise plan, she needs inpatient mental health treatment before her weight can be addressed, she’s pretty much insane

Even still the odds of all those personality traits, along with her absolute ignorance of World issues and other cultures would likely lead to her breaking a law there. In order for that not to happen she would have to well not be Chantal, and if that were to change such an extreme wouldn’t be needed.

Edit- even in this case she likely would die. Losing weight fast is hell on your liver. While there have been patients able to lose weight while consuming starvation rations they’ve been medically supervised. She also would lack her cpap and all the medical intervention that’s kept her alive. Her body is too broken at this point. Sorry to be a downer.
Oh you mean like how in World War II, concentration camp survivors needed a specific diet after they were liberated because their bodies were in such a shit state, except in that case it was gaining weight?

Yes, exactly what you’re describing is refeeding syndrome it’s a problem with anorexic and bulimic patients still. For those who don’t know when concentration camps were liberated the American GI’s started giving them whatever food they had. Because their stomachs were unable to process the food along with the damage it led to them dying.

With deathfats they have heart issues, gi problems, breathing problems, liver and kidney issues. As an example while gaining too much weight too fast through bad food can lead to fatty liver disease, losing weight too much too fast can lead to the same. Or having high blood sugar, pressure and a higher heart rate suddenly drop it can cause issues as well outside of potential collapse and the impact that would lead to. It’s a lot of extra stress on an already weakened system. Along with many super obsess people ARE malnourished because they only eat low nutrient shit food. So if they have no intake they starve to death from malnourishment.

I don't think dangerous, but it's nowhere fucking near Keto. Not even in the same solar system as Keto. Even if she's not doing Keto, that's a fuckton of carbs for dieting. I can hear Dr Now in my head saying "low carb high protein diet" when I look at her "food stats" in that screencap

Its weird she didn't realize the correlation of what vegans can eat and establishing a caloric deficit. Vegan means no white-sugar containing products, and the shit she can eat is very fibrous. And this may have at some point allowed her body to be more apt at fat utilization if she was strict enough. She could easily achieve her desired results by just establishing a 500 calorie deficit, which is like 1/4th of one of her usual meals.

There's a whole world of fat vegans who think that because they stuff themselves with ultra-processed vegan sugar, they're somehow morally superior to the rest of us and their obesity doesn't count. I think that's why some of them glom on to it: they can still have Oreos and soda and chips, with the window dressing of health that veganism provides. (Lots of vegans continue to eat white sugar despite there being some controversy over it, too.)

True, but they're just trying to make themselves feel better about their bad choices. I don't lump them in with anyone in a serious cutting diet.

Good lord, I can only imagine what the wall without the hand rail will look like with clotso trying to work her way up and down those stairs after one of her greasy, napkin less, mukbangs. Sheesh.

I look at all these pictures and I can’t for the life of me imagine what the hell she saw in her minds eye that she would think “yeah, yeah this is the house for me”. especially after the first failed apartment look see where walking from the rental office to the apartment almost gave her a heart attack. That mind of hers is truly ....... there are no words that fit.
She saw the same thing she sees in every attempt of hers to make a drastic life change all at once. “Well I’ll be slim in no time because I’ll be forced to use the stairs! This will be easier than going to the gym because I’ll have to do it all day anyway!”

Unrealistic dieters always get these crazy ideas of, “If I give my car to my sister to use every day, then I’ll be forced to walk to work and I’ll lose weight!”

Except you won’t. You’ll lose money calling an uber everyday because fuck walking to work. Making drastic changes and then rationalizing that they will work because you’ll be “forced” to adhere to them is idiotic. The “forcing” just causes resentment and a constant need to find reasons not to do it.

“If I keep nothing but yogurt and celery in the fridge, I’ll be forced to eat that for snacks instead of junk!” No, you’ll just order a pizza or go back to the store for junk and you know it.

Chantal and all her ilk don’t want the slow and steady results of small, sustainable life changes, which is the only thing that works. They want a quick-fix that’s easy to implement (I’ll just get stairs! I’ll just buy lots of celery!). The problem is revealed by the underestimating how big a change it will really be, while overestimating their own willpower to commit to it and not immediately find a lazy workaround.

What kills me is that the small changes are the easiest in the long run. Swap out your bag of chocolate cookies for a bunch of low-fat chocolate yogurts. Take a walk for ten minutes every day around your block.
Yes, they take commitment and a little willpower, but they’re not “move into a house you can’t physically traverse without feeling exhausted” stupid.

"You can be fat and healthy!"

This argument is so weird. No you can't. If you're overweight and carry excess fat on your body and especially around your organs you're not healthy. You might not have diabetes or another chronic condition (yet!), but you're not healthy.

The same could be said about an underweight person, it's not healthy even if they have not become "ill" yet. Another example: an alcoholic who drinks every day but doesn't have cirrhosis. Are they healthy?

Not sick healthy

Does obesity play havoc with your hormones? I.E. upping the ones that shouldnt be. After episodes of MSPL where you see a lot of whiskery women and men who are definitely looking feminized.
Yes. Fat cells (adipose tissue) produces estrogen, so the fatter a person is the more they produce, causing hormonal imbalances.

It kills me when reaction channels often say, "I will give Chantal one thing, she can cook."

Anyone with the most basic knowledge of cooking knows that shrimp cook very quickly. I would think Chantal would know this just based on the fact that she has spent every waking moment of her life thinking about food or watching shows about food.

Speaking of obsessively thinking about food, the weirdest thing that stood out to me about this video was when she randomly asks Peetz on his five minute break from work, "Aren't you going to have a snack?" WTF?

Believe it or not Chantal, most people can go ten minutes without eating food, thinking about food, or wondering what other people are planning on eating.

She, and other deathfats, do that all the time. They call themselves addicted, but it’s more like an obsession. Narcotic addicts don’t have normie people stop by and when they leave, say “aren’t you going to do a bump?” Alkies don’t think everybody slams a shot of vodka first thing in the morning to stop the shakes, but fatties are always amazed that others don’t feel the need to eat every second of the day. The call themselves addicts to excuse it but they don’t really act like other types of addicts.

If you’ve ever known a deathfat, you discover real quick that the only activity they want is to eat and all their conversations revolve around food. If you do something else, they always find a way to change it to food. If you make the mistake of eating with one, their eyes are always on your plate and they continually ask you how it is and aren’t you going to eat it all? And seemed disturbed when you don’t.

Somehow in their childhoods, their ideas about food got twisted. Chantel is convinced that everybody wants to eat fast food every meal, and are denying themselves when they don’t. She doesn’t understand it’s abnormal to go to the grocery store twice a day during a pandemic, yet cannot understand why some might get a little desperate to get hair and nails done after six weeks. The only thing that counts to her is food and she literally does not understand that others don’t feel the same. Peetz said “no” but I bet she didn’t believe him. She thought he doesn’t want to eat on camera, or he wants something they don’t have, that he’ll stop and get-but she doesn’t believe he really doesn’t want to eat.

I bet 90% of her fantasies about Jamaica are about what food is available and if McDonalds tastes different there. It’s only 10% about swimming or seeing a new culture or finding a new green card hunter to fuck.

Back when her fantasy was Everest, I do think she was thinking of health, but that was a two day fantasy and I don’t think she’s revisited. I think she knows now she’ll never be an adventure traveler, but she’s still holding onto normal vacations, which won’t happen either. If her aunt wasn’t in Jamaica we’d never hear about it. Best she’ll ever do is upstate New York for Sonic.

And to her, that’s normal. We are the idiots, not giving in to our obvious desires for fat, salt, and grease.

Last summer, I'd found & read, (through PubMed, I think), several interesting papers on the effects of obesity on cognitive behaviour. I expected a few perhaps minor effects & was surprised to see how many serious ones were possible.

What you posit about Chantal is certainly possible.
All deathfats have prefrontal cortex damage honestly.

There’s a type of damage called hypoxia where, over time, your cells get oxygen, but not enough to sustain them. If your cells don’t get enough oxygen, they die. When cells die, the cellular membrane disintegrates and all sorts of byproducts get exposed to cells near the dead exploded cell, leading to a second cascade of cellular damage and death. There are actually different patterns of brain damage seen on MRI between acute profound anoxic events and partial prolonged hypoxic events, but the gist is the same.

Once your brain cells are dead, they don’t really grow back. Fluid takes its place. And as far as the actual cells that die, usually it’s the ones farthest from a nourishing source. Just like the extremities are the first to go with diabetic complications, the “extremities” of the brain are often the first to go when there’s lack of adequate oxygen. The part of the brain furthest from oxygen sources is the prefrontal cortex.

The prefrontal cortex is also really complicated, so damage there manifests in a lot of personality disturbance, issues with motivation and attention, memory holes, and behavioral problems. To add insult to injury, if you get enough dead brain cells, your brain in sending neuronal impulses can and will short-circuit, turning those electrical impulses into a seizure (think absence seizures).

Hyperglycemia can also cause brain damage. All sorts of cell damage, really, but also brain damage that will show up on imaging.

Deathfats very easily become hypoxic or anoxic. That’s why they have to wear CPAP machines at night: to create Continuous Positive Air Pressure to force air into them so the weight of their own fat doesn’t crush their chest or glottis shut. They also get out of breath at the absolute bare minimum of effort. On top of that, Chantal has pulmonary (lung) disease and smokes. She’s doing nothing to stop the kinds of cellular damage that result from hypoxia and you can see it in her failing organs, up to and including her skin. Same for her likely DM2.

This is on top of whatever originally made them think food was love, or whatever. It’s crazy to think that all of this is completely avoidable if you’re not actually hell-bent on eating yourself out of being able to fit in the MRI that would show the damage.
source: have clients with brain injuries from birth trauma and other medical issues, know way too much about this shit on a professional level

obesity and the brain are fascinating topic to explore. Obviously something is deeply wrong with the super obese.

I knew a guy who was super obese ( but worked hard and had a damn good job). He got intona bad wreck and had some brain damage. For instance when he finally came out of sedation being there about a week or two, his mind was still misfiring. He kept calling his wife the wrong name ( but quite similar to hers)

Anyways, he finally mended and even went back to work. But the brain injury caused him to lose his sense of smell and could not taste anything. It was all the same to him no flavor. Surely that would affect his eating and he would eat less as there was no flavor reward. But nope, he still kept eating that way.

On a funny note, turns out the name he was calling his wife was actually the name of his side chick. His wife found this out. Oops

He would eat huge amounts but not be able to smell or taste. But something in his brain was getting some sort of pleasure from it even without taste or smell.

Honestly, the way chinny eats is like watching a wild animal like a snake that swallows its prey whole. All those sauces and pickled things she eats are to get the hugest bites of food down quicker and easier. The pickled things she eats stimulates saliva to help her swallow huge amounts at a time.

I would hope any carrier who saw her would demand a doctor's note for liability purposes. Because I don't think, with her medical history, that anyone would argue that she was fit to fly. The DR is no short flight. Deep Vein Thrombosis springs to mind. I don't even want to think of how they'll have to pry her out on the regular so she can wreck the head (if they're lucky she can get that far before having a cheese emergency). Pray she doen't get stuck in there. And that's just the beginning of the two weeks...Gorls, We know you were being nice. We totally understand if you change your plans this year and decide to skip out.
You can indeed be too fat to fly. There was a dude ( ricky ) stuck on Guam, eating himself to death. No one in Guam could help him. He was befriended by an American woman who tried to help him. She had once been obese and had gotten surgery and lost weight. But the man was probably 900 lbs and imobile. He was to large and unsteady to get a real weight.
So the lady was able to get american doctors interested in treating him if he could get to america. But there was no transportation plan that was feasible. He was too large for a commercial jet or a smaller plane. She tried the option of a boat but no boat would take him with the weight and medical issues. He must lose weight first. Even the local hospital told him he had to lose weight before they could admit him to lose more weight.
The man had a wife who cared for him and a mother who had spoiled him into obesity. The wife was frustrated because she was getting blamed for feeding him but he verbally and emotionally abused her if she refused. Meanwhile he just kept eating and gaining.
His wife finally had enough and left. She went back to talk to him and he threatened suicide. I dont know if she took this seriously but then he ate some of his meds and OD'ed and could not be recusitated. He died. His mother blamed the wife. The wife didnt even go to the funeral. She said she already made peace with him. I dont blame her at all for leaving.

He has a documentary on youtube entitled " The Man Who Ate Himself To Death ". His name was ricky naputi. Be warned it starts off with a full body nude shot ( with dangling fupa concealing private parts) but still......

I can see chantal going this route because she will never stop unless someone stops her.

about that food aggression towards peetz... He needs to invest in one of those fake arms that the dog shelters us to test strays for food aggression. It may save him from a painful bite, stitches and a round of antibiotics.
