Ergo, the first guy who can solve their fuel/food shortage and effectively pull them away from the eco-fascist garbage will be leader. But knowing how nations fail, if everyone is too retarded, some corrupt fuck will simply take over and worsen the situation to Africa-tier.
There are two ways to solve the food/fuel issue on a local level. One is slow and difficult the other is quick.
The slow one is to rebuild the country under a political consensus.
The quick way is to restart the dormant tamil tigers and just appropriate the shit from your neighbors.

Too bad that Hunter Biden never had business dealings in Sri Lanka. So I guess there will not be any aid sent their way.

Nothing really, but it is a message to the WEF.
That their planning is working. The point of the WEF is to collapse the existing order so the elites can come back in stronger as they initiate their Neo-Feudalism plan, there is also a bit of Neo-Malthusianism in their organizational beliefs so Sri Lanka going into a famine and losing 10, 20, 50% of its population is ideal for them. Their goal is to reduce by a half or three quarters of the global population, they literally believe and parrot the Thanos monologues.

Question is now, will they keep on acting like that when their members start falling? Because their neo-feudalism plan keeps bringing me back the ancient China. The Nobles there are lecherous bottomfeeders who see the lower class as below human. Thing was, despite all that blustering and power they still got taken out in quite painful ways.

Notable ones include the Shang, whose downfall involves pic related, Daji who has made him do alot of super screwed up shit for her favour which ended badly for the both of them in the end, and that period where there was a puppet emperor completely ruled over by the Eunuchs.

The end result was a shittier China in both cases. Or at the very least, a chaotic period of upheaval. Then again, if our current batch of Elites are acting like bored nobles with delusions of Godhood, its not far off to consider them as Lolcows in power. They get off in watching the proles get mad at them and squirm. Not unlike furries trying to force people to get into their fetishes. Which the whole eat the bugs thing may actually be for them.

And just like any good lolcow, they don't like it when their "smartness" gets called into question.

China did indeed have some internal problems, as did Europe, the Roman Empire and various other large states, but when the nation or empire collapsed there was no real way for the architects of such failure to leave with their wealth, their land holdings were besieged and the hard to carry gold reserves were looted. The difference between then and now is that money is both far more portable and other nations will host them. When the Afghan Republic fell apart Ghani just threw bags of cash into suitcases and fled by helicopter, reportedly $150 million USD. This doesn't even begin to account for the total amount of money in offshore accounts which are just 1s and 0s on a computer, the globalist have spent nearly 40 years repeating the mantra "free movement of capital and goods" with the end changing to "capital, goods, and people" being tacked on since the mid 2010s. When this or that country collapses the elites will flee the country for a period of time and return to buy out the country for fire sale prices, this is going to be a process that takes decades and most likely will still be ongoing by the end of the century.

If the US collapses there won't be anything left to buy. Nowhere to go.

So it turns out that the president hasn't left the country, though it's not without trying. His brother and former finance minister is also trying to flee.

Update: President Gotabaya Rajapaksa managed to flee by military jet to the Maldives with wife and bodyguard. Youngest brother and former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa for some reason has US citizenship so he was able to get a US visa and leave. Scratch that, Idk if Basil got out. Current acting president is now Ranil Wickremesinghe, who stepped up as Prime Minister in May after the previous PM, another Rajapaksa brother, stepped down at the beginning of the protests. Since Wickermesinghe was appointed as PM by former president Rajapaksa, protesters see him as an extension of the Rajapaksa regime and aren't happy. Wickermesinghe is the guy who's house got torched earlier this week.

No it isn't. Sri Lanka is only 36 miles/59 km. from mainland.

Thanks, I don’t know why I thought it was so far. Sorry everyone for posting inaccurate information.

At that distance there’s going to be a lot of horrific stories about refugees and attempted small vessel crossings. Those poor people.

INDIA IS NEXT

Some days I wish a nuke would accidently go off and clean the Indian continent. The world would be, literally, a cleaner place.

I fear it may get as bad as Albania in 1991, when you had scenes like this unfolding with people doing everything they could to board ships en route to Italy, just across the Adriatic.

This is real. One of the lesser known chapters of the collapse of Communism across Eastern Europe and the Balkans 1989-1992. Thankfully Albania is doing much, much better today.

It's already kind of happening with ships to Australia, on a smaller scale. This article is from the 25th of June. Human traffickers are taking advantage of the situation as well.

The guys of American Thinker blogged a good rant where Tucker Carlson speak about Sri Lanka.

Tucker Carlson's latest on 'green' energy is mandatory viewing

By Andrea Widburg

When Congress — the people's representatives — had the chance to vote on the Green New Deal, it emphatically said "no." Were we still a functioning representative democracy, that would be the end of the Green New Deal until such time as We the People elect (God forbid) a majority of senators and House members who want that legislation. The unconstitutional leftist model since FDR, though, has been for the Executive Branch to do what Congress refuses to do, and, sadly, Chief Justice Roberts's spineless opinion in West Virginia v. EPA has done nothing to limit that lawless power.

We now have a situation in which Biden has unchallenged and outsized executive powers and the EPA has unlimited regulatory power (both of which, I can assure you, were never meant to control America's entire energy supply). The result is that the Democrats are relentlessly clamping down on our available energy supplies.
In a pre-modern era, energy came from four sources: primitive wind and water power, animal abuse, and slavery (the last of which was not, although I'm sure leftists will deny it, a uniquely American phenomenon. In the modern era, fossil fuel has allowed humans to break free from these limited and abusive energy systems. Farms produce a surplus, water is cleaned, medical care is readily available, homes are warm in the winter and cool in the summer, and so much more. Rather than listing everything that undergirds our world thanks to fossil fuel, I challenge you to list a single thing in your life that does not rely on fossil fuel for its functionality, manufacture, or transport.

The Prime Minister has effectively told the military to start gunning down protestors.

We can't tear up our constitution. We can't allow fascists to take over. We must end this fascist threat to democracy!
- Actual quote from the Sri Lankan PM
Democracy at this point has about as much meaning as racism, fascism, communism, socialism, Nazism and 'far-right'. We need a whole new vocabulary.

Guaranteed this is a test run for what they have planned for the west.
Not necessarily, this rests on the assumption that 'they' have the same plan for every country. The powers that be could have several plans in mind depending on the country (this also assumes that TPTB are even competent enough to carry out said plan and not drunk on their own delusions of grandeur and self-superiority). I think with the west they don't have to even push it to this point. Western people (not all, but a significant enough number) are quite passive as long as they get to have some sense of creature comforts.

Edit: Apologies for the double post!
